Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Oud Tuner, provided by Softadev, handles information when you use the app.

We design the app to collect as little information as practical. Oud tuning audio is processed on your device for pitch detection and is not recorded, stored, or sent to our servers by Oud Tuner.

Information we process

Microphone access: the app uses your microphone only while tuning to estimate pitch. Audio input is processed locally on your device and is not saved by the app.

App settings: preferences such as language, note notation, calibration, onboarding status, and review prompt counters may be stored locally on your device.

Subscription information: if you subscribe or restore purchases, Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat process purchase identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal status, and related transaction information needed to provide access.

Technical information: app stores, operating systems, or RevenueCat may process device, diagnostic, region, and usage information needed to operate purchases, prevent fraud, and maintain services.

How information is used

We use information to provide tuning functionality, remember preferences, manage subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent misuse, comply with store requirements, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal information. The app does not include third-party advertising.

Third-party services

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Their privacy policies and terms apply to payment and store account activity.

RevenueCat is used to manage subscription entitlements and purchase restoration. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement data needed to operate the subscription service.

Permissions and control

You can grant or revoke microphone permission in your device settings. Without microphone access, the tuner cannot listen to your instrument.

You can cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Retention and deletion

Local settings remain on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. Store purchase records are retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as required for billing, tax, fraud prevention, support, and legal obligations.

To request help with deletion or privacy questions, contact support@oudtuner.com. Some store transaction records must be retained by the store provider and cannot be deleted by us.

Children

Oud Tuner is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers and security

Third-party service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We rely on store providers and service providers to apply appropriate safeguards for the data they process.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for the app, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, services, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the app after an update means the updated policy applies.
